Using technology available from Webex Inc. of San Jose CA, we can now conduct product presentations, demonstrations, meetings, support sessions, education classes or any other similar activity, with any number of people, from anywhere around the world, over the web via any standard web browser.
Rather than flying people all over the country, indeed all over the world, we can conduct one-to-one or many-to-many "meetings" using technology already available in most companies and / or on most individuals' desktops i.e. the internet and a web browser. Full details on what Webex is and how it works are available at www.webex.com.
Better still, other than a web connected PC, there are no additional software or hardware costs for you to participate in a meeting. We are picking up the tab to provide this new service, however in certain circumstances there may be charges levied for customers participating in scheduled web-delivered education sessions. All information and support sessions will be free and any charges levied for education classes will be significantly less than all the costs associated with flying to and attending an education class. This new facility will also eliminate much of the travel time
Access to live events as well as previously recorded events will be available, depending on the type of event. We will publish full details on this new facility very soon when we have it up and running.
One thing you may like to do to be ready to participate in these web based sessions is ensure you have good access to the internet via a recent version of one of the popular web browsers. We also recommend access of at least 56K as a minimum but obviously the faster the better. |
