Coglin Mill Corporate Profile
Coglin Mill was formed in February 1985
primarily to support and further develop application and utility
software originally developed for the IBM System/38, the predecessor to
the AS/400, which has now evolved into the IBM System i5.
The early software products included
a major Distribution and Financials package designed specifically for
high-end, usually very sophisticated organizations with complex
requirements, and an advanced set of utilities to help manage the
development and production environments in mainly large System/38
installations.
Development of these software
products started in November 1979 under the management of Allen Perry,
the founder and CEO of Coglin Mill, while he was working for a large
international manufacturing organization in Australia. This was on one
of the first System/38s installed in Australia and indeed one of
the first installed anywhere in the world.
Coglin Mill became an IBM Business
Partner in January 1986 achieving “All Star” status every year since
1995. Today Coglin Mill is a Premier IBM Business Partner and an
Advanced member of IBM’s PartnerWorld
for Developers program.
The company has a worldwide focus and
is widely recognized as a leader in high-end software used in the
development and management of sophisticated data warehousing environments
through its flagship RODIN Data Warehousing product (pronounced Ro-dan and named after the famous sculptor). It
is also recognized and highly respected for its first class customer
service and product quality.
In close partnership with fully certified
hardware and software specialists and leading industry consultants and
implementation professionals, Coglin Mill can provide its customers
with a total solution to all their Data Warehousing (DW), Business
Intelligence (BI) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) needs. If
required, this can start at the feasibility study and go through to
post implementation support, including everything in between.
Coglin Mill is a privately held
company, owned and managed by the original founder and his highly
experienced executive management team, all of whom have a minimum of 20
years experience in the IT industry with as much as 15 years in the DW
/ BI / CRM arena.
Corporate offices are in Adelaide
Australia, and Rochester Minnesota.
